Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the powder coating process take?
Turnaround time varies by project size and complexity. Typical production runs are completed in 3-7 business days from receipt. Rush service available for urgent needs, with same-day pickup in Detroit Metro for emergency situations.
What materials can be powder coated?
Any metal that can withstand 400°F curing temperatures, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and cast iron. We also coat brackets, structural components, and manufactured parts of all types.
What's the difference between powder coating and liquid paint?
Powder coating is electrostatically applied as a dry powder, then cured with heat to create a chemical bond. It provides a thicker, more durable finish with better coverage and no VOC emissions compared to liquid paint.
Can you match specific colors?
Yes. We stock thousands of standard colors by RAL number and can custom match virtually any color. Bring us a sample and we'll match it precisely.
Do you offer heat resistant coatings?
Yes. We specialize in heat resistant coatings rated up to 1200°F for exhaust systems, industrial ovens, and high-temperature applications.
Are you certified for military/defense work?
Yes. We're ITAR registered and qualified to apply CARC coatings (MIL-PRF-32348) and other MIL-SPEC powder coatings (MIL-PRF-24712B) for defense contractors and government projects.
What's your minimum order quantity?
We have no minimum order. Whether you need one prototype part or 10,000 production pieces, we provide the same quality and attention to detail.
Do you ship, or is pickup required?
We offer complete packaging and shipping services throughout the Great Lakes region. Same-day pickup is available in Detroit Metro, with 2-4 day delivery across Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Western Pennsylvania.
